The race begins promptly at 7 a.m. on Sunday, March 2, 2008. The start is preceded by a brief invocation and "The Star-Spangled Banner." ABSOLUTELY NO EARLY STARTS WILL BE ALLOWED. DOGS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO ACCOMPANY RUNNERS ON THE COURSE AND MAY NOT BE BROUGHT TO THE START OR FINISH AREA.
